Dear Parents,
Welcome to Fairfax Community Church! We are so excited to have the opportunity to serve you and your family. In the Children’s Ministry we are all about safety. From our computerized check-in and security system to our curriculum, we want kids to be and feel safe— physically, emotionally and spiritually. In fact, the first thing we’ll ask you to do is complete a children’s registration card. This information will help us place your kids in groups that match with their ages and to ensure their safety at pick-up time. Download a children’s registration form that you can complete and bring with you.
We are dedicated to having fun and making sure the time that kids spend here is one of the best parts of their week. We want to offer an environment where kids see real people living out their lives with God, as well as offer kids an opportunity to fall in love with Jesus and follow Him all their lives.
We love being with kids in the weekend services, and we try hard to make it fun, interesting and meaningful. However, nothing we do can compare to the impact you have on your children. That is why we take every opportunity to partner with you as a steady resource, encouraging and equipping you to be your child’s spiritual leader. Every week you can find handouts of our lessons and follow-up questions posted on our website.
As a word of advice, we strongly suggest that your family pick one service to attend and stick with it. This will help your child get to know their small group leader and other kids in class. For kids, making friends and building relationships takes time and consistency. By coming to the same service each week you are helping your child to experience community and build lasting friendships.
Finally, the people who serve in this ministry are amazing. From the Infant Nursery to Hangar 56, they are totally dedicated to connecting kids with Christ and helping them walk with Jesus. You can feel blessed that they pour their lives into sharing Christ’s love with your children.
