Creative Arts Volunteer Opportunities

Fairfax Community Church Creative Arts Ministry has many areas to serve in. Some require special skills, while others provide the training needed. If you are interested in serving to help make our worship service happen take a few moments to contact the person(s) listed under the team(s) below.

Audio & Lighting Team

Volunteers help with the set-up, tear-down, and operation of audio and lighting equipment during weekend services and special events. Positions include: audio engineer, lighting engineer, stage manager, and stage crew member. Contact John, johnfalke@fairfax.cc

Communication Team

Ways to serve include reviewing Fairfax Community communication through proofreading and content writing, marketing & publicity strategic planning, worship booklet production, sermon CD duplication, and communication to the other creative arts teams. Contact John, johnfalke@fairfax.cc

Graphics Team

Our graphics team creates all the content you see during our weekend worship services. Positions include graphic designers, announcement slide designers, print layout volunteers, and designing and updating publications. Contact Paul, paulsnyder@fairfax.cc

ProPresenter Team

ProPresenter is the program used to display the projected slides and video during the weekend services and special events. Volunteers set up the presentations and/or run them. Training Provided. Contact John, johnfalke@fairfax.cc

Photography Team

The Photography Team is a group of professional and experienced photographers that meet regularly to challenge, teach and inspire each other in the area of photography. They also take photographs of the various Fairfax Community events. Contact Erin, erinkuhlenbeck@fairfax.cc

Set Design Team

The Set Design / Construction Crew Members will help construct sets for Sunday worship services. Participate in meetings as scheduled to learn about upcoming projects and help brainstorm ideas for set construction. Share input with leader. Gather construction materials as needed. Assist with construction of special staging, backdrops, props, etc. to ensure safe and attractive designs and timely completion, delivery and setup of finished materials. Assist with tear down and store or discard special staging, backdrops, etc. after performances. Contact John, johnfalke@fairfax.cc

Technology Support Team

Our technology team help ensure our computers and network run smoothly and train staff and volunteers on software programs. They also troubleshoot problems, setup new computers and manage our used equipment. Contact John, johnfalke@fairfax.cc

Video Team

Our video team works together to produce the videos used during our weekend worship services. Positions include camera operators, video editors, script writers, directors, interviewers, tech directors and actors. Contact Jared, jaredhanline@fairfax.cc

Website Team

Fairfax Community has a number of people who keep our website up-to-date and provide direction for the website. Ways to serve include creating and updating Flash content, making webpage updates and developing web applications. Contact Erin, erinkuhlenbeck@fairfax.cc

Worship Team

Instrumentalists and vocalists encourage our congregation through their joyful participation in honoring God through song. Volunteers prepare and sing songs in our weekend worship services. Contact Brandon, brandonvient@fairfax.cc or complete the Worship Team Application
