Special Half-Time Guest Speaker:Super Bowl Champion, Running Back
Reggie Evans began his football career in the early eighties as a running back with the Washington Redskins. In 1982 and 1983, Reggie played with the Redskins in two back to back Super Bowls (#17 and #18.)
The Redskins took Super Bowl #17 and defeated the Miami Dolphins 27-17. However, the next year, the Raiders beat the Redskins 38-9. During his time with the Redskins, Reggie had the privilege of playing under the coaching leadership of Hall of Famer, Joe Gibbs. Reggie’s best game came against the Detroit Lions when he scored a personal career high of 3 touchdowns!
Reggie Evans attended York High School in Yorktown, Virginia. His senior year, Reggie was recruited to play football at the University of Richmond on scholarship. Reggie graduated from the University of Richmond with a degree in Communications and signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins in 1982.
Reggie became involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) shortly after he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, in the fall of 1973. He found that he could combine his two loves – football and Jesus! As he grew in his knowledge of Christ, he realized that he could have a powerful impact on the lives of others through the platform of sports.
Devoting much of his time to the community, Reggie’s desire is to help improve the spiritual and moral fiber in our region. Reggie credits his relationship with Jesus for helping him keep a balance in life. Reggie frequently speaks throughout the area in schools, churches, and special outreach events. In his messages to youth and adults, he encourages and inspires them to commit their lives to Christ.
Reggie now lives in Reston, Virginia with his wife Trellis and daughters, Mackenzie and Madison. Their family attends Christian Fellowship Church in Ashburn, Virginia. Reggie is the area Director for FCA serving both Loudoun County and Winchester, Virginia. Through his commitment, he has made it his mission to help change the lives of as many young people in the Washington Metropolitan area, as God will allow. Reggie is a husband, a father, and a servant of Christ.

It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
The GriefShare group meets monthly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each meeting is a stand alone session, so feel free to join anytime. Come to one meeting or all of them.

Thanks for your desire to learn more about where Fairfax Community Church “meets the world” and how you can be a part. “Meet the World: Preparing for Global Impact” is a series of four once-a-month sessions to help equip and prepare people for service on global impact teams. This training will help you develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to serve as a “high impact/low maintenance” member of our mission teams.
In the coming year we will be sending teams to Haiti, Lebanon, Zambia, Kenya and the Dominican Republic. Many skills are needed to meet the needs expressed by our ministry partners. We need medical personnel, teachers, IT specialists, grant writers, people who love to work with children, people with business experience, accountants, people with financial expertise…the list goes on and on! Most importantly, we want people who have a heart for service and who sense God’s prompting to go.
The size of the teams will range from 2-3 members to 6-8 members. It is very important that the teams we send out are well prepared in order to have maximum Kingdom impact. Participation in this course is required to go on a global impact trip. Please contact Alan MacDonald if you hope to go on a global impact trip but are unable to participate during the dates the training will be held.

Join us one Wednesday a month in the Great Room as we gather together in fellowship to learn about Fairfax.cc’s partners in the community and around the world and pray for them. Each gathering, we highlight one organization to learn about who they are and what they do; receive their most up to date prayer requests; and spend a significant time in prayer. To understand how our partners are, we watch videos and host missionaries and guest speakers to talk specifically about our partners. This is also a great time to fellowship with others at Fairfax.cc who are also passionate about local and global outreach.
Join us for a special night of extended worship on Thursday, March 8 at 7:30pm. This event is free and no registration is required. Doors open at 7pm. Come ready to sing to our King!
On Sunday, March 11 @ 11am the Creative Arts team will take you “behind the scenes” at Fairfax.cc during our weekend service so that you can see how things work, get to know the people who make everything happen, and perhaps even find your place to serve. While on the Backstage Pass Tour, you’ll:
