Thanks for your desire to learn more about where Fairfax Community Church “meets the world” and how you can be a part. “Meet the World: Preparing for Global Impact” is a one day intensive session to help equip and prepare people for service on global impact teams. This training will help you develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to serve as a “high impact/low maintenance” member of our mission teams.
In the coming year we will be sending teams to Haiti, Lebanon, Zambia, Kenya and the Dominican Republic. Many skills are needed to meet the needs expressed by our ministry partners. We need medical personnel, teachers, IT specialists, grant writers, people who love to work with children, people with business experience, accountants, people with financial expertise…the list goes on and on! Most importantly, we want people who have a heart for service and who sense God’s prompting to go.
The size of the teams will range from 2-3 members to 6-8 members. It is very important that the teams we send out are well prepared in order to have maximum Kingdom impact. Participation in this course is required to go on a global impact trip. Please contact Alan at alanmacdonald@fairfax.cc if you hope to go on a global impact trip but are unable to participate during the dates the training will be held.
