Preschool Classes
We believe that God wants everyone—including small children—to know and love Him. Our preschool class curriculum focuses on three overall concepts:
- God made me.
- God loves me.
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
We focus on one key truth each month, giving each week a new twist and fresh activities, while repeating the main concept. Each week is full of objects for kids to touch, wild and wiggly activities to get them moving, crafts they will love getting into, and real-life situations they can relate to.
Pre-School classes are for children ages 3, 4, and Pre-K 5 (room is based on age as of 9/30/10). Moving preschoolers in age groups rather than having children self-promote on their birthdays serves several important functions: kids can build friendships with a consistent groups of peers and leaders can make promotion time extra comfortable as kids move to a new room. If your child was born after 9/30/07, please see our Nursery Page.
Kids are divided into two classes by age: 3s and 4s/Pre-K 5s. Each preschool class includes Bible storytelling, singing, play time and fun activities. The curriculum—Bible lesson and activities—is similar for both preschool classes, but the mix of these activities will match the age and development of the kids in the class.
Parents play a vital role in helping kids to know and love God. Although our weekend class time with kids is an important factor in nurturing young Christians, the biggest impact comes from Mom and Dad. We look forward to partnering with you in leading your kids to a lifelong relationship with Jesus.
