What an incredible weekend! Our weekend worship experience continues to grow! We had over 3,500 adults who participated in our three services. People are inviting their friends. New connections are being made. Many are experiencing worship for the first time. Decisions are being made. We had 236 individuals this weekend who made a decision to accept Christ and embrace his forgiveness!! We are rejoicing in God’s transforming power!

These are all reminders that nothing can stop the kingdom from advancing! For 2,000 years, whenever persecution or religious intolerance has kept the church from gathering publicly, it has never stopped the kingdom from expanding. In fact, it often accelerated the growth. The gospel spread like a virus. Unseen. Beneath the surface. Spreading from person to person to person. This pandemic is awful at every level and we are praying for its defeat. But it cannot stop the church! It cannot stop the kingdom! It cannot stop Jesus!

Remember, we are continuing to pray together as a church at 11:02am every day. We are praying for God’s protection, presence and healing grace during this challenging season. In addition, I’m also live-streaming at 11:02 for those who would like to join me for this time of prayer. All you have to do is follow us on Instagram at @fairfaxcc.

As I mentioned this weekend, It’s a great time to get in a small group! We are launching a bunch of new online Neighborhood Groups. And our Transit groups (for young adult singles age 18 to 28) are adding new people every week. You can sign up here and we’ll find the perfect group for you!

I’m so incredibly excited about our Easter services this year! We are calling it Easter at Home. Our Creative Arts Team has been working hard to create an environment that brings Easter into each of our homes and allows us to celebrate together the hope of the resurrection.  We will have six services this year, beginning at 6:30am on Sunday. You can check out the entire schedule here. Fairfax Kids has designed some very special activities that kids and parents can do together after each Easter service. You’ll find those this weekend on our Fairfax at Home page. Fairfax Students will also be live-streaming Easter services for the Hub and the Hangar on Sunday night. You can check out that schedule here

Don’t forget to invite your friends this Sunday! People are looking for hope in a season filled with so much despair. Your invitation could make all the difference! To watch the livestream on our website, just click here.  To watch the service on our Facebook page, go to Facebook.com/Fairfaxcc.  Also, we will be providing a Spanish translation of all six of our Easter services this year. You can check that out here.

I need Easter more than ever this year! You probably feel the same. So, be praying. Come with a sense of anticipation. And watch God work!

Jesus is risen! And we’re going to celebrate it!!!
