Day 10: Empathy
Scripture:
“Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.”
Romans 12:15
Prayer:
Father, we thank you for the gift of time with you. We pray you will remove the distractions from our minds in this moment so our hearts can focus on your presence. Father, we are called to be image-bearers for your glory. Today, help us see those who are hurting. Turn our hearts towards others in compassion and empathy. Help us to live the words of Romans 12:15 that says: “Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.” You are a mighty God who can be trusted with our pain and with the weariness of this life. You are the hope-giver and our light in the darkness. Amen

How will Jesus show up in my day today?
Do I have the eyes and ears to see and hear the wonders of his love and mercy?
How will I experience his grace? Will I see something miraculous? Something hope-filled that will transform me?
