Day 30: Commitment

Scripture:
Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
Romans 16-18

Prayer:
Dear Lord, may we humbly seek to do your will. Help us to commit to your great works. Let us strive to serve others and to lift up your name. If we have committed ourselves to another in marriage, may we lay down our lives for our spouse. If we have not married, may we endeavor to remain pure and help others in our circumstances to do the same. Make me a channel of your peace. Let us die to self, that we would awaken to Eternal Life in you. Amen.

Reflection:
How will Jesus show up in my day today?
Do I have the eyes and ears to see and hear the wonders of his love and mercy?
How will I experience his grace? Will I see something miraculous? Something hope-filled that will transform me?
