Lay Counseling
Non-professional volunteer counselors to help with a wide variety of issues
Lay counselors are not professional counselors, but are volunteers who have completed an eighteen month training program and meet on a bi-weekly basis with a professional psychologist who oversees their clients.
When you register for lay counseling you will be asked to select the type of counseling you’re seeking. We offer the following;
- Individual (one on one counseling for adults dealing with any issue)
- Grief/Loss (for those who have lost a loved one and need help coping with their loss)
- Budget/Financial (for those who would like help dealing with their finances)
Please note that our lay counseling ministry does not offer couples or marital counseling. However, both partners are welcome to seek individual lay counseling for personal support and spiritual encouragement. For those looking for professional help with their relationship, we recommend connecting with a licensed Christian counselor, and we’d be happy to provide trusted referrals if needed.
The registration form will ask a series of questions that will help us connect you with the best suited lay counselor to help you with your issue(s). At the completion of the registration, you will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
