Dear Beloved,
In Ephesians 2:8-10, we are gently reminded that our salvation is a divine gift, bestowed upon us by the boundless grace of God. It is not a reward for our deeds or merits, but rather a testament to His unconditional love for us. Through our unwavering faith, we embrace this extraordinary gift with open hearts.
However, let us not mistake this divine grace for idleness, for we are not left purposeless. We are, in fact, God’s masterpieces, intricately crafted in the image of Christ Jesus. Our purpose is to be bearers of goodness, to perform the noble works that God has meticulously ordained for us even before we were formed. These good works are not a means to earn our salvation but rather a reflection of the transformed souls we have become through His grace.
As we embark on this Advent season, let us cherish and hold dear the immeasurable grace of salvation. But let us also earnestly seek out the purpose that God has uniquely designed for each one of us to fulfill. We are, in essence, His vessels of love and compassion in this world, His instruments to bring light to the darkness, hope to the despairing, and love to the lonely.
In prayer, let us express our profound gratitude for the grace we have received and ask for divine guidance to discern and carry out the good works that He has prepared specifically for us. As we say “Amen,” may our hearts be resolute in living out this purpose, and may we find immense joy and fulfillment in being God’s hands and feet on Earth.
