"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commands that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children."

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

What does the Child Dedication process look like?

Child Dedication is a three-week class intended for parents & guardians with kids between birth and three years old. During the required classes, you'll meet families in the church in similar life stages, get tips & tricks for success on Sundays from the Fairfax Kids team, and learn how to create the foundation of your child’s faith.

The last class is your opportunity to to stand together, commit to raising your children in a way that pleases God, and be affirmed that the church stands with you in your parenting journey, with all the ups and downs, for the long haul!

What’s the difference between dedication and baptism?

Baptism celebrates the outward declaration of an inward decision any individual has made to say to Jesus and His redemptive and restorative work in our lives. Child Dedication celebrates the anticipatory faith of parents for their child to one day say yes to Jesus, and their commitment to shepherd them toward that decision in the coming years.
