Week 4: Remember Our Focus

Day 26: Wrap It Up

Scripture Focus: Isaiah 9:6-7
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
    there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
    and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
    with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
    will accomplish this.

Devotional Reflection:
We now turn our hearts toward Advent, the season of waiting and preparation for the coming of Christ. Advent is a time to reflect on the promises of God and the hope we have in His Son, not just as the baby born in Bethlehem but as the coming King who will reign forever. It is a season of expectation, where we remember both Christ’s first coming and anticipate His return.

The journey through these 25 days has been about preparing your heart—practicing gratitude, love, generosity, and trust. Now, as we enter Advent, we continue in that posture of readiness, but with renewed focus on hope, peace, joy, and love—the themes that define this season. Advent teaches us to slow down, watch, and wait for God’s presence, just as the world once awaited the birth of its Savior.

The lessons of the past 25 days—how to love, forgive, trust, and rest—are the tools you carry with you into Advent, preparing room in your heart for Jesus to dwell more deeply.

Join us for the next devotional as we prepare for what is next.

Reflection Question:
How can you carry the themes of this devotional—peace, gratitude, love—into Advent?
