Day 2: The Promise of Faith

Scripture to meditate on: Isaiah 7:14 A Virgin Shall Conceive
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Devotional:
This Old Testament verse holds a profound significance in the Christian faith as it anticipates the coming Messiah. We find in its words the promise of a miraculous sign–a virgin birth, pointing to the extraordinary nature of our Savior’s arrival. The name “Immanuel” carries deep meaning as well. It signifies God’s presence among us–His people.

This verse reminds us that God keeps His promises, and Jesus being born is the ultimate proof of that. So, let us fear not for God keeps His word by sending us Immanuel.

Questions to ponder:

  • What does this passage say about God?
  • What does this passage say about me or my relationships?
  • What should I do in light of this passage?
