Book of Galatians
Day 15
READ Galatians 2:21
“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”
COMMENTARY:
In this verse, Paul emphasizes the sufficiency of God’s grace for salvation. He asserts that if righteousness could be gained through the law, then Christ died for nothing. Paul’s teaching underscores the foundational truth that salvation is by grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
Questions to ponder:
- Consider the significance of Christ’s death and resurrection in light of the sufficiency of God’s grace. How does His sacrifice demonstrate the depth of God’s love for us?
- Reflect on any areas of your life where you may be tempted to seek righteousness through your own efforts. How can you rest in the sufficiency of God’s grace instead?
