Rhythms of Jesus – Week 4: The Discipline of Community
Day 24: Encouraging Each Other in Faith
Faith is not meant to be walked alone. God calls us to build one another up, offering encouragement, accountability, and support as we follow Him. The writer of Hebrews reminds us to spur one another on—to inspire, challenge, and strengthen each other in love and good works.
In seasons of doubt or struggle, the encouragement of fellow believers can make all the difference. A simple word of affirmation, a shared testimony, or a reminder of God’s promises can lift a weary heart. Likewise, when we see someone growing in faith, we should celebrate and support them.
Community is a gift. When we consistently gather—whether in church, small groups, or friendships centered on Christ—we create a space where faith is nurtured, hope is renewed, and love is lived out.
Key Verses:
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. ~ Hebrews 10:24-25
Step into Community:
- Encourage someone today. Send a message, make a call, or speak words of affirmation to someone who needs it. Let them know you see God at work in their life. Be a source of strength. Ask God to show you someone who needs encouragement, and take a step to support them spiritually, emotionally, or practically.
When we uplift one another, we create a community where faith thrives. Let’s not grow weary in meeting together, but instead, build each other up in love and good deeds.
