An evening flight from Dulles to Tel Aviv, then arrival in Tel Aviv for dinner and an overnight stay.

Visit the site of Caesarea Maritima, King Herod’s capital city and Palestine’s chief Mediterranean port. Explore the beautiful Sea of Galilee with a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee and the northern part of Israel from the high cliffs of Arbel. Overnight in Tiberias for 3 nights.

Spend the day taking in the magnificent sites of the “Jesus Boat” from the Sea of Galilee, the city of Mary Magdalene, Capernaum, and Caesarea Philippi. Walk among the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught and worshipped and view the remains of first century houses, including one which may have been Peter’s.

Begin this packed day with a visit to the historic town of Nazareth, the village where Jesus spent most of his life. Then on to visit the Mount of Precipice, the Basilica of the Annunciation and Mary’s Well. Continue to Cana of Galilee and then to the ancient city of Sepphoris, the main urban center in Galilee during Jesus’ time. Sepphoris is among the best preserved and excavated archaeological sites in Israel with beautiful mosaic floors and many public buildings.

Spend a full and historically rich day in Jordan, beginning by exploring Jerash with the most extensive and well-preserved Roman ruins in the whole Middle East. Conquered in 63 BC, it came under Roman rule and was one of the ten great Roman cities of the Decapolis. Continue to Um Qais (ancient Gadara) another of the Decapolis cities where Jesus cast out the demons from a man living among the tombs. Finish the day in Amman, the capital and largest city of Jordan, and spend the night.

Visit the ancient ruins of Amman (ancient Philadelphia), and travel south to Bethabara, the place where John the Baptist proclaimed the coming of the Kingdom of God. Visit Mt. Nebo from where Moses looked upon the Promised Land and where he was buried, and tour Madaba, the “City of Mosaics”, best known for its spectacular Byzantine mosaics. We’ll end up in Petra for 2 nights.

Spend a full and fascinating day visiting the famous Nabatean city of Petra, one of the wonders of the world – walk along the narrow gorge of the “Siq” and visit the rose–red stone carved ancient city, founded by the Nabateans.

Cross to Israel in the early morning and spend the day exploring the famous sites of Jericho, Massada, En Gedi, Qumran (the place where the “Dead Sea Scrolls” were unearthed), and the Good Samaritan Inn in Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem for 3 nights.

Soak in the breath-taking sites of the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, the Lions Gate, the Pool of Bethesda, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Old City Bazaar, the Temple Mount, the beautiful Dome of the Rock and Al–Aqsa mosque, and the Garden Tomb of Jesus. We’ll end the day with a beautiful Sound & Light spectacular at the Citadel.

Visit the extraordinary sites of the Western Wall (the most sacred Jewish site with its walls dating back to the first century Temple), the City of David, the Pool of Siloam and the Garden of Gethsemane.

Spend your final day taking in the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Israel Museum, visiting Herod’s palace and fortress and ending in the sacred town of Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s Fields, the Grotto and Rachel’s Tomb.

Then we’ll travel to Tel Aviv to fly back home to Dulles.
