Day 35: Fasting
Scripture:
So he said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”
Mark 9:29 NKJV
Prayer:
Lord, we thank you for your son Jesus Christ. Who died for our sins so that we may be forgiven.
Father, as we seek you in prayer and fasting let every habit that has held us in bondage be let loose.
Lord, we pray that we will get to know more of you and less of ourselves.
We pray that everything that has hindered our spiritual growth will fall off.
Let us always remember Jesus’ death and the blood that was shed as your testimony of your love for us.
May that precious gift stay fresh in our minds always, in Jesus name. Amen!
Reflection:
How will Jesus show up in my day today?
Do I have the eyes and ears to see and hear the wonders of his love and mercy?
How will I experience his grace? Will I see something miraculous? Something hope-filled that will transform me?
