Day 31: Gentleness

Scripture:
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Philippians 4:5 NIV

Prayer:
You are a gentle God, and you ask us to be gentle with each other.
Forgive us, Jesus, for we forget sometimes who we are in light of you. Forgive us for treating the sins of others without compassion.
Forgive us for endlessly putting ourselves forward, and setting others behind us.
Holy Spirit, teach us how to treat one another with gentleness. Help us to understand our equality before you, and therefore extend our hand to those who have fallen, helping them up rather than sitting in judgement over them.
Lord, we pray that you help us to be gentle as your son Jesus Christ was gentle. In Jesus name, we pray Amen!

Reflection:
How will Jesus show up in my day today?
Do I have the eyes and ears to see and hear the wonders of his love and mercy?
How will I experience his grace? Will I see something miraculous? Something hope-filled that will transform me?
