Day 22: Goodness

Scripture:
“To the one who comes near me,
I will show myself holy;
Before all the people,
I will show my glory.”
Aaron was silent.
Leviticus 10:31

“I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth.
Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit.
I’ll say it again: Stay with God.”
Psalm 27:13-14

Prayer:
Father, in my brokenness I meet your goodness.
I refuse to give into hopelessness because your goodness is always there to greet me.
At my worst, you guide me and show me what is good.
Hold me accountable Father to seek justice, love kindness, and walk humbly in this world.
Hold me accountable to pursuing knowledge of you and loving you.
Your goodness surrounds me in the sweet tender moments and the mundane.
May I truly stop to take notice, to see you, to wrap myself in your blanket of goodness and then share the warmth with others. May the undeserved goodness that surrounds me inspire me to put the brokenness in perspective and seek your best for my life. Take away all that blinds me pride, bitterness, resentment, anger, expectations, regrets; and call me near to you, call me into rejoicing in all of Life’s moments.
May God always get the Glory for His goodness.

Reflection:
How will Jesus show up in my day today?
Do I have the eyes and ears to see and hear the wonders of his love and mercy?
How will I experience his grace? Will I see something miraculous? Something hope-filled that will transform me?
